Condo financing

I want to refinance my condo but cannot find a lender due to "property type". My current mortgage provider turned it down due to property type. It wasn't a ltv, credit or income issue. I wanted to go from a 15 to a 5 yr. term. So they would have been in a better postion as loan would pay off sooner. This is a shame no one is doing anything about this! It's not an investment property...I have seen my home lose value like others, but at least they can refinance. Our properties are worth nothing as folks can't purchase them unless they have cash.
