You may also want to consider Mt. Juliet or at least visit the area next time you are in town. It is one of the fastest growing areas in middle tennessee. The Providence Area is great. Located in Providence you have a Del Webb community and many other great neighborhoods to live in. Just a thought...Hope you dont mind the suggestion :)

You can easily stay within your price range but there truly are an awful lot of variables. Your original question as to which community has seen the least depreciation has me wondering if you're looking for the community that has depreciated more so you can get a better deal or the community that has depreciated less with the theory that you may have stronger resale value down the road... Ultimately there are great opportunities in both locations but I would recommend finding a Realtor who can show you options in both locations and taking a look to see which feels right for you.

TNGAL,
It highly depends on your parameters. What size house, bedrooms, size lot etc. I would stick to Brentwood. I've seen better opportunities there. I think I may have answered your question on another website. Best of luck to you.

ALL THE COMMUNITIES THAT YOU HAVE MENTIONED PRESENT GREAT BUYING OPPORTUNITIES! BRENTWOOD HAS A LOT MORE INVENTORY THAN THE GREEN HILLS AREA, SO OF COURSE, THAT MAKES THE GREEN HILLS AREA IN GREATER DEMAND!

I would say good choices. All of these areas have been historically good investments. Taxes in Brentwood (williamson county) are lower, and the schools are the best, so resale is usually strong, but lately new construction has been overbuilt in the high end of Brentwood, so you can get a great deal. Green Hills, Forrest Hills, and Richland are all usually older homes, and resale is very dependant on they home itself. All are great locations, but you can still buy a money pit if you aren't careful.

All of the areas you are considering are highly desirebale. You'll want to decide what matters most to you (size, age, community amenities).
