It has been used in a number of home flips on HGTV, Discovery Home etc. Dampens sound, durable, beatiful. I'd like to use it in our next home (already did this one). Used in Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water.

I love cork floors there are so much better. you can glue them down or have a floating floor put in. They are also a green product. Depending on where you put them in it will cut down on noise and if you have a concrete slab its very soft to stand on.

I have them in our kitchen and love the look and feel to the cork. You can walk on the floor in the middle of winter and it feels warm under your feet. The one thing I will suggest is that when you have it installed the subfloor must be smooth with no imperfections and all joints in the plywood be filled and sanded along with any screw heads. The reason being is that cork will translate any imperfections in the subfloor. Also make sure it is installed with a contact cement and not a troweled adhesive. The adhesive is very difficult to keep the seems level and you will have edges present. Tile doesnt have this issue since you usually have a grout joint.
The only down side to cork is that it will dent. You cant walk on it with high heels for example. Also if you need to move a fridge you MUST put down plywood over the floor to protect it from the weight of the refrigerator.
Overall we love the look, feel and "green" ness of the product.
Hope this helps

Looks great; comes in tile or "plank" form; many different colors; holds up well to traffic and muddy dogs; warm underfoot; dampens sound; easy to install. It's held up MUCH better than my wood floor. Wish I had used it all over.

I've installed it in my kids room and front room. Its easy like laminate floating floors. You just snap together and make some cuts. You can also get tiles but will need to glue those down. Just depends on the look you want. [promotion and website removed by Zillow moderator]

Cork Floors
Just recently heard of this but do not know of anyone who has it installed in their home. Supposedly cheaper than hardwood but still looks nice. Has anyone seen this anywhere?
