There is an admitted percentage error rate in the zillow estimate (if memory serves, I believe around 15-20% or so depending on county).
Zillow is like any automated tool; it is not, nor should it ever be, the end-all-be-all to real estate valuation.
And what I appreciate is they admit to that fact.
An experienced local Realtor is your best bet for getting a closer property price based on active, pending, closed, expired and other criteria of comparable properties in your region.

For the most accurate value for your property, it is best to have a local Realtor prepare a market analysis for you or to have an appraisal done. Texas is a non-disclosure state so sales prices are not recorded when properties are sold. Since Realtors report their sales through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and appraisers use that information also, they have the most current information on home values.
Good luck!

You may wish to review Zestimate Values and Accuracy for your area, as well as the Zestimate range for your property on the property details page. Texas is a tricky state for Zestimates due to the non-disclosure rules for sales prices.
Could my Zillow estimate be wrong?
