Could someone post any experience or feedback in dealing with AIMLOAN lender? Their rates are low.

Today, more than ever before, lenders and brokers all get their money from the same funding source(s).  Most banks simply sell off their loans.  Very few actually portfolio loans.  So outfits like LendingTree and AimLoan actually fit in the same bucket.  They will advertise low rates but will not disclose the full cost of those rates.

I walked into a Bank of America branch the other day.  There was an advertisement on a billboard showing their rates.  They were advertising a 5.25% with a nice asterisk next to it. As I read the fine print, it stated there would be 1.5 points along with other reasonable fees and charges. Point being: no one has a magic of money right now.  You have to find a reputable broker/lender who will do a good job and lives in a realistic world of not trying to make 20k per transaction.

Best wishes!

No magic loans, no magic rates and no magic pricing!

Vik...if their rates are that much lower than everyone else I will guarentee you end up paying more in closing costs.

Vik, rates are only part of the equation. You have brokers in your hometown that can serve you well. Check them out first.
