Countrywide Trustee's Sales & The Law

My home was scheduled for a Trustee's Sale, but luckily a couple days before the sale date I submitted a RESPC w/a short escrow that paid off not only my 1st w/Countrywide, but also the 2nd, CW verbaly accepted it thru my realtor, then proceeded to sell it at auction for $65k LESS  less than the loan & couldn't/wouldn't explain why the opening bid was to low & more than 1/2 that of the RESPC that paid them in full. After 2 weeks they rescinded the sale for "Improper Bidding" then subsequently scheduled 7 more which I fought. I know that all the sales didn't follow state laws of procedure correctly but it's very difficult to find info on dating errors, same sale but different data from recorded docs, time frame between steps, etc. They wouldn't give the title co a payoff for the HUD & I received it 2 weeks later, & over the next 8 months couldn't provide a payoff saying that they hadn't figured one out; then turned down 2 offers for being too low? Any thoughts or insights on this mess?
