Sometimes you have to just get credit and use it just for one purpose and pay it down to 10.00 to let it revolve...that is what builds your score and will be good for you. Orchard Bank usually has great cards for people wanting to rebuild their credit.

Have your credit reviewed, should take now longer then 5 minutes to give you a direct answer. Could be a simple as opening a secured credit card to boost points, or removing an outdated or innacurate account. Any issues should be fairly easy to resolve as you have paid off your accounts.

Everyone is right, any lender will have to see the credit report to make suggestions on how to improve your credit. It could and probably is a combination of several different factors. If you closed all accounts, have old information on the credit report that could be lowering your score.
Trust me just because you paid all the debts doesn't mean the credit report is accurately reflecting the whole story. That's the first step and then find someone that is a credit repair specialist and can walk you thru how to improve that score. You really want at least a 620 to get a loan these days. The higher the better of course. Hope this helps.

A look at your credit report would reveal why. Additionally, you may want to keep your 30 year fixed rate mortgage and just pay extra each month on the principal. This may be a much cheaper solution to paying down your mortgage early.

Hello..
Would love to see the credit report to see why your score has not gotten better. Sounds like you still have credit cards since you state you are never late. The free credit reports are not the same ones that Loan Officer pull. You should have a LO pull your credit and review this for you.

Karen2829, when you paid everything off, did you also close all your revolving accounts? Would really need to see a copy of the credit to see where your issues lie.
