I used to live in this area and it seemed like there was a spike in crimes aaround state fair time, but I still own two homes near there and because it is between UNM and Uptown, it is a great area from an investment standpoint. I also love the character of some of those old homes, always pleasant surprise to my buyers. I recommend the area and know of some very interesting homes available now.
