Curb Appeal Check-List

Profile picture for James5464
Attractive price alone may not make up for lack of curb appeal.  Here is a check-list that will help make your price and your home attractive.1.  Remove any clutter.  Is there any scrap wood, or building materials that can be neatly stored? Can you store the garbage cans in the garage?2.  Check the home from the roof line down.  Is the roof is clear from obstructions such as trees and moss?  Are the  gutters clear of leaves and neatly hung?   Are windows are clean and free from obstructions?3.  Inspect the condition of the paint and/or siding.  Is it time to power wash the siding?  Is touch-up paint needed?  How about the front door?  Does the  front door draw the eye from the street?4.  Upgrade the flower Beds.  Is it time to get rid of the scalloped curbing?  Are the flower beds free and clear of weeds?  Is the bed properly mulched?  Are the flowers in bloom?5.  Keep the lawn neatly groomed. Is the lawn free from weeds?  Is the lawn neatly edged and free of grass clipplings?

Don't forget the walk from the car to the front door.  If there is a walkway or path, it should be clean, in good repair, even/flat and safe to walk on, attractive, and made of materials appropriate to the house style and neighborhood.
