Hudson is a great community to live in, as a suburb of the twin cities, you have everything you want within 25 miles, yet it's still a small town community.

Richard--Hudson is just a short drive over the St. Croix river from the St. Paul/Minneapolis area of Minnesota. Many of those living in Hudson do commute to the Twin Cities for work. I grew up in a St Paul suburb and you will find that this part of the country, though cold in Jan/Feb offers a tremendous amount of activities. Though you will need sweaters, boots and mittens, don't throw out the shorts and swimsuits. Temps in the 80's are normal in May-Oct. Beautiful lakes and parks...changing seasons is wonderful. Fall tours of the changing leaves are common. Winter skiing both downhill and cross country. Communities have trails for walking, bikeriding and snowmobiling. You would be about an hour from the Mall of America and the Mpls/St Paul Airport. It is a great area to live in...Enjoy your move!

Why would anybody leave Dallas to move to some place that's freezing cold????? Dallas gets cold, but up there is brutal! (Can you tell I'm tired of winter?) Good luck on your move.

You should start by finding a buyer's agent to work with in Hudson. Depending on what part of Dallas you live in, the selling time is 60-100 days. That is from the time you place your property in MLS until you get a contract. Typically the property closes 30 days after it goes under contract.

So if you hope to move in June, you should list your property for sale in February or March. My web site has statistics of the time to sell (Days On Market) for different areas of Dallas.
