Demographics show Seattle is gaining an influx of young, professional college grads.

A recent new look at demographics trends shows Seattle and other cities with a reputation for "cool" are seeing a growing boom of 24-35 yeear old college grads. These include Denver, Houston, Dallas, Seattle, Raleigh, Austin, Washington, D.C., and Portland, Ore. But it's not always for work, although more educated Americans are moving to places that are already home to many like them. The result has been a brain gain for some areas that tend to have colleges, high-tech industry and, if you look at the above lists, generally liberal-minded attitudes.

So, why is this of interest here?  Well, it means a great hiring base for tech and other professional jobs; it also means these new arrivals will want places to live (a good indicator for rental property owners) and things to do- a boon to support a vibrant economy!
