We'll have to wait to see how the markets respond after tonight.

Major "problem"?  There is no "housing problem"!  There is a substantial  excessive of housing inventory, and neither party wants to open the borders to fill them!

Investors are buying them to "sit on them" since there are no people to occupy them.

well, we can't be sure on Romney's motives as we have not seen him doing something great and both of them have not discussed the major problem i.e Housing Market, so we have to be very careful before casting one of them as our new president.

Neither; they both are planning on keeping HUD, and continuing to let the FED manipulate MBS and thus mortgage interest rates... thus the housing market is going to remain "propped up" by the Federal Government, which means it still will not adjust to "normal", thus since pricing will remain artificially high, it is not a "help" but a "hindrance".

And the housing turn over rate will continue to remain about 3 times what is should be, since the "American way" is to encourage people to always be dissatisfied with what they have regardless of what they have.
