Do zestimates assume the house to have standard features of homes in area such as a/c unit and sink

Profile picture for kitterym
The house  we are interested in has been stripped of central a/c and heating units, kitchen sink, cabinet doors. etc.,. all standard features of other houses in the track. Does the low  zestimate assume these features are included or should we subtract the cost of replacing them from the low figure given or the high figure?  The house has been on the market for about 50 days with no other successful bids yet. We like the house but    don't want to overpay as it will require considerable cash to bring it up to standard.

The only quick answer to your question is that the guesstimate on here has no way of knowing all that stuff is missing. Even if zillow did know how much to subtract from value, by internet is no good. You need help with a contractor to give estimates on all this work and materials. I'd get two estimates and compare and go with the contractor I trusted the most if they weren't too costly.

Hi Kitterym,This is technically a question that is suppose to be answered by your Realtor representing you. They would ask the questions for you and would help you make an informed reasonable offer since there are no offers. I am assuming this is a conventional loan since FHA would not likely approve the loan since it doesn't have the basics. Please feel free to email me should you have further questions.
