The planned introduction of high-speed trains in the US requires the assessment of potential corridors for such systems. U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) recognized that noise and vibration issues are frequently among the potential impacts of most concern to residents. In contrast to some countries, city pairs are quite far apart in the United States, which brings the potential for high-speed train operations in rural and wilderness areas.

Public transportation rail or heavy rail? In my experience it depends on the placement of the track. Do they have a proposed(or approved) map at the building and zoning office? best of luck.

It is very difficult to say with any certainty because no decisions have been made yet. However, most of the newer train technologies are quieter than the old even though they are faster.
Does anybody has information on how noise would the high speed rail be?
