Does anyone have a good exterminator for wood bees?

Profile picture for Big Poppy
Wood bees have invested the trim of my house. It is bad enough where wood peckers have now come and are pecking holes through the trim to get to the bee larvi.  Unreal.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I wased wasp spray but it hardly worked.

The bees like softer wood, like a pine or cedar, especially if it is unpainted. Now is a better time since it is getting cooler to deal with this issue. The trim will need to be removed. The inside will need to be cleaned out and the bees treated. If left untreated the females will reuse the existing holes and extend them, thus weaking the wood more.  The holes are allowing moisture in and fungus damage, which is what the wood peckers are going for. Feel free to give me a call if you need a hand with this. Joe with Rockwood Ventures 800-354-9003 x 201- Litchfield CT

In some areas there are bee experts who will come remove them and release them in the wild, all very cool. Try to google bee relocation?
