Years ago I lived in that earea and enjoyed living their with my family .However the best way to find about an area is to ask people who currently live their. And always check with the local police department.

http://www.downtownlynn.com/ is a great local blog with alot of information on both downtown lynn and the area over towards the Swampscott line and eastern ave.

A lot of my past clients used to ask the same question. The best thing to do is call the police department and ask them (they will usually be brutally honest, they arent getting paid a fee)

Please look at the local blog to find out what local families think about that area and what kind of activities for kids are there. Talk to local police department to find out about crime rate there.
