I would recomend that you talk to a local housing councelor. I teach classes here in Las Vegas and we do what needs to be done. The program itself will not and has not benefited most people, partially because of the huge discrepancy in price. The Bush program didn't help and the Obama program is about the same.
I volunteer at a local non profit group, I would start there. Make sure they are HUD approved, you can go to theitr website to find a list in your area.
My experience is that most people are seeking price reductions, and no one is obligated to do it, by any law. So....once in a blue moon you hear of one that did accomplish it and there goes the ad.
