Does anyone know of any FHA Down Payment Assistance Programs in the DC Metro Area? I am a Broker.

I am a Mortgage Broker and I am trying to provide access to down payment assistance to my FHA clients.  I am interested in both grant & loan programs, but primarily grant.  I originate in the DC/MD/VA areas.

Hi, I do a lot of CDA, PG My Home and also AA county. The problem you are going to have is the state and county programs are not set up for broker particapation. As a broker you are not funding the loan and therefore cannot particapate.

There is also the HOC loan in Montgomery County, but the client has to live in and work in Montgomery County. They will provide up to a $10,000 second trust to cover downpayment.

You might be better off looking at the individual towns and cities your clients might be looking in. Towns/Cities will get Hud Block Grants and sometimes sets aside this money for soft second loans and grants for closing costs.
