Zillow still has the recently sold "sort by date" option; and they have answered this several times over the past few weeks. You need to select "sort by days on market". They are using the same field for the date for the recently sold, and that will resolve the issue. They already told the programmers to fix the wording, and they say it will be resolved in the next program update. There also was a request to put back limiting the time frame for the recently sold for the mapping purposes. I'm sure it is being considered, but for the listing purposes it is not important as one just stops advancing the pages when one gets to the time frame of interest.

In the comparables list, they use the sales date. Possibly you should use the estimate tool. Just my two cents.
