Doing FSBO but would like to get on MLS. Anyone able/willing to help?

Selling FSBO but want/need to get on the MLS.  There are places on the Internet that sell this service by coordinating with a local agent and sharing the fee.  My question, IS THERE ANYONE IN THE LOCAL MOBILE AREA that could assist me in getting on the MLS?  And by the way, I am willing to pay BUYER"S AGENTS 3%.  Sure hoping to hear from someone.  Thanks.

Would get a Reatlor who will put you in mls for a flat fee or small percent. If you are willing to pay out 3% to the buyer's agent then why worry about paying a listing agent another 1 to 2%? In most cases you will find paying the listing agent will be made up in the final sales price.

NEVER use a realtor. Every penny up to 500K for a couple is tax exempt and every penny is directly off the top. Advertise yourself and save the 6% for your retirement, not the realtor's retirement.

There are lots of brokers around who will list you for reduced fees like you mention -- it's just a matter of finding them.
Why is being on the MLS is so important?  You have to BE SEEN to get it sold.  Here's a great article on the topic:
http://clickscape.com/real-estate/be-seen-in-atlanta-real-estate-dont-be-invisible

It is written from a locale-specific point of view but still contains lots of good points.

Sorry for the misunderstanding about the fee thing.  There are plenty of national websites that will hook you up with a broker in your area that participates in FSBO/MLS listing agreements.

I understand that a limited agreement would be necessary and I already acknowledged that a fee is appropriate.  I don't know what I said that made you think I was "looking for a free lunch".  But I am a commited seller and do realize that being just being on the MLS will not sell my house. Of course other marketing tools will be utilized.  If you have some constructive suggestions I am all ears. Thanks.

To be listed in any MLS you have to be under some type of legal agreement with a licensed broker that services your area.  If you are committed to FSBO but want the MLS exposure you are going to have to cough up "the fee".  There is no such thing as a free lunch and you do get what you pay for.  3% buyers agent payout is a good start but you really need marketing beyond the MLS.  It is targeted marketing that gets home sold in this market, NOT just being in the MLS.

Good luck!
