Down payment

I had my own business for 16 years, excellent credit... but my business died in the recession, and wiped me out and wiped out my credit (though I own a modest house and land, which I intend to keep). Now I have a high paying job in Palm Beach County ($95000 per year, plus full benefits) and have to move, but I don't have much money for a down payment. What are my chances for loan for a home? Note: I was just approved for a $1467/month apartment rental.

I only write this to protect any person(s), who may stumble across this, from calling the referral that I mentioned in this feed on April 29 2010 (Steve Macturk at Aggressive Mortgage Corp). We found that this person is not a good recommendation and advise staying clear of him and his company. I apologize for the recommendation if any person decided to give him a call.

Well, apparently, upon further research, the answer is FHA. Only an FHA lender will go for a 3% down loan.

I suggest getting in contact with Aggressive Mortgage Corp who can get you a decent interest rate probably even with your history but I wouldnt know for sure. They do credit repair too. [Promotion removed by Zillow moderator. Please see our Good Neighbor Policy.]
