Hi Anita -

The EZ Ad is a simple and affordable self-service solution for real estate agents, loan officers, other professionals, and homeowners to advertise homes for sale, your business and even yourself. By specifying the ZIP codes you want your ad to appear in, you ensure that only potential customers, those looking at houses in the same areas, will see your ad.  We charge one dollar per hundred ad views (that breaks down to one penny per ad view) and with only a $10 minimum purchase requirement, the budget is up to you. And the price you set when you create your ad is what you pay. Period. No additional taxes and fees.

As you know, Zillow says that "ONLY customers LOOKING at homes within the ZIP codes you select will see your ad." That is not true because the truth is ONLY customers who HAVE LOOKED at homes in your selected zip codes will see your ad. The word "looking" is present participle. The truth is one look at a home within a selected zip code will cause the ad views to continue in other zip codes (unselected zip codes) subsequently. I have seen my EZ ads appearing in many zip codes far from the one zip code I selected.
As realtors we subscribe to a code of ethics that requires us to present a "true picture" in our advertising. Too bad zillow does not subscribe to the same code of ethics.

I am considering using the Agent EZ Ads however, I would like some feedback from other agents.   Searching on Zillow, I have not come across one Agent AD appearing in the many zip codes I put in.  Is this not something agents are using??  Any advice would be appreciated.

Theresa -

When you create your EZ ad, it will be shown whenever anybody tries to search and view any city or town belonging to the zip code you have targeted. However, the frequency at which the ad will be shown will depend on three things: the number of ad views purchased, the time frame or duration you selected, and the number of zip codes you targeted.

Here is a crude way to compute for this: the number of ad views purchased, divided by the number of days (30 days in one month), divided by the number of zip codes. For example: $10 (1000 views) divided by 7 days (1 week) divided by 2 ZIP codes = 71 views on each ZIP code per day.

Please be reminded however that this is just an approximate. We have no control on when and how our system serves the approximated number of ads per day. This is just an example of how our system will try to serve the number of ads purchased within the agreed duration. If in case you chose a longer duration period and several zip codes for a certain amount of ad views, the frequency at which the ad will be shown will be relatively low. Another factor could be the number of advertisers on a certain zip code. Our system will also try to compute for the frequency at which their ad will be shown and how to equally distribute the ad space among all advertisers at a given period of time.

EZ ads are used by both homeowners selling their homes and agents advertising services. It may also be used for any type of advertisement that is related to real estate like carpet cleaners, home repairs, etc. I might just be that your area doen not have much agent advertisers.
