Estimate closing cost break down in New York

I am shopping for a 30-year fixed, no-point mortgage and I am wondering what is the reasonable closing cost in New York. Thanks.

Hi,

Closing cost depends upon your loan amount.  It would be 3 and half to 4%, certainly not less than that.

You might get an answer if you estimated the loan amount.

You could call a Bank in NY, ask for a Mortgage Loan Officer, and ask them.

I could probably Google the subject and find out. I would guess, that in the Great NY state, it varies by county, and possibly even by city.

Why do "no point"? Why not just go "no cost"?
