Wrong category.  It's getting really difficult to read about buying a home, or selling a home with all of the wrong junk stuff in the wrong categories.

Good point Jim!  The value of our currency has nothing to do with house prices.

Well then maybe posting something about "HOW" it applies to the real estate market instead of a meaningless "1.55" as the post would be helpful.  Come on

Maybe the original poster has a negative outlook on real estate and thinks this is a universal board for negative news.

Or the original poster is employed in Europe and gets paid in EUR.

LOL?

This is a "funny" time?

I don't get the joke. I must not be as attached to the realities of the current market conditions as yourself. As I find what is happening rather appaling, not even, remotely laughable.

Let me see, Ben is inflating us so we can pay the banks back these mortgages....  and the euro is a sign of inflation... this will keep the price of homes high, BUT the price of food will rise to catch up... doesn't relate to homes at all? I'd research that a bit more before I said it.

Not to mention what the Fed is accepting as collateral for these loans.

Debts was just making the assumption that the regular readers here already knew enough about finance to understand why this is important.  Spelling out every link between a plunging dollar and the housing market every time a data point changes in a major way is a waste of time.  Please try to keep up...

If zillow would just create a category for economics and money policy, we would know where threads like this should be.  As it is, it could be in financing, buying, selling, mixed, home repair, suggestions, z-estimates...

Why do we have to keep telling Zillow that we need a separate category specifically for this type of thread?  Many of us are trying to follow the news on exchange rate, inflation, and FED interference.

Amerisave- you don't know squat if you think this USA is trying to repair our country's problems.  Now if Bernake was raising rates and deflating all of these viscious bubbles, then I'd agree with you.  The Zimbabwe effect is in full force and we'll get Japan circa 1990 AND stagflation instead!

Debts...now if you had originally posted that...than I wouldn't have said anything.  When you post something, it would be nice if we knew why you were posting it, rather than having to do research to how it applies to buying a home.

I live in Europe and shopping for homes/investment properties as we speak in California, I respect someone for posting Euro facts as it`s a small work and getting smaller everyday now, Amerisave has a very narrowminded outlook on the "world" outside of the former post WW11 power surge of US economy, Can`t wait for the money powers of the world to start with the lawsuits sure to come against the USA companies. Keep up the spreading the Worlds news and how it relates to the former" one of the top 5" money powers. It shows that not all Americans have thier heads up thier ...

And finally, the Fed announced $36 billion in currency swaps with foreign central banks. (They may save the U.S. dollar, before we save it ourselves).

I bet it`s a fair swap...are they targeting Zimbwabye?
