The near north is Gold Coast, Streeterville, and River North. Bucktown, Wicker Park, UK Village, and River West are near west side.

The previous answer is incomplete, and inaccurate in one respect. "Cathedral District" is not a recognized neighborhood. A deve;p[er attempted to create this years back, but it never stuck.
