FHA MIP

When doing a FHA streamline refinance, can the MIP be transfered from the old loan to the new one, or do you have to pay a new MIP, and wait for a refund?

The UFMIP refund amount is on your FHA case number from FHA Connection.  This is the amount that will refund through closing.  New UFMIP will be charged at closing.  This will off set

Hey Nic whats going on.  You should get the balance back.  I wouldn't sweat it.  It will be a wash anyway.

Depends on how long ago the original loan was done.  If recently enough a portion of the old UFMIP can be credited.  For streamlines UFMIP is 1.5%
