Welcome to Carmel. You'll find it's a great place to live with plenty to do. The investment forecast for Carmel is stable. You'll find Central Indiana doesn't have a great variation year to year in pricing/value. The large drop we've seen over the past few years is basically over and prices have again stabilized. I would be looking for something near the Monon Trail as a rental investment in that price range. The incomes are good near downtown and there are investments available. Before you rent out a house find out the vacancy rate in your area and include room for repairs, management fees, and profit. Doing a lot of research into real estate investing before ever buying house is a smart move.
