Mike,
We understand your frustration but before you make inflammatory comments like this again, may I suggest you read the REALTOR's "Code of Ethics". As long as they agent represents that they, as the client, are licensed in NJ, it is legal and ethical to buy and sell real estate for personal gain.
Also, not all real estate agents are REALTORS and many "investors" get their real estate licenses solely for the purpose of accessing the latest MLS data for personal reasons. I'm not saying it's "right or wrong" but it's not illegal or unethical in this capacity.
Many of the state's Multiple Listing Services (MLS) allow agents 48 to 72 hours to post their listings. Does this provide an unfair advantage to the real estate industry over the public? Perhaps, but again it's not illegal or unethical.
The "average Joe" needs a professional REALTOR more than ever in this environment! When competing against those with access to information first, the public's best option is a full time, professional REALTOR.
So Mike, please don't "paint" all REALTORS, or agents, with same brush.
Thank you,
Jim
