There are a lot of great deals in the market today. With prices low and intrest rates low now is a great time to look into buying

Phil, I'm so glad that you decided you wanted to look into buying....

As you know even though you are an "agent", you strongly recommend against representing yourself... so chose a licensed real estate agent in Connecticut.

Here is a partial list of almost 5400 Real Estate agents in Connecticut registered on Zillow:
Zillow Directory

And remember, Realtors® were directly and personally responsible for the bankruptcy of over 3 million Americans, and the foreclosures and loss of housing for over 5 million households.

Boycott the National Association of Realtors®!

Join the American Association of Realty Agents (AARA) instead!
(Not to be confused with the American Association of Realty Professionals (AARP).)

And owning a home you bought at now reduced pricing and rates in the 3's and 4's sure beats 30 years of renting with nothing to show for it.
Being able to get a pet and paint your own colors is nice too.
Not having to move every year is nice for some people.

There better be a better reason to buy than choosing a paint color. If that is the best reason, you've got to recommend buying in this market I'll pass.

Besides, the paint colors people picked during the bubble don't look very good now that they're underwater.

That radioactive granite with toxic solvent coatings in the kitchen doesn't look very good at the moment either.

Neither does the radioactive drywall that is causing all the copper wire and copper pipe corrosion.

If they were in a house built in the 1920's without all those Realtor® recommended "upgrades", they would be a lot better off.

The best reason to buy is that you someday actually own it. Only thing better is living for free at home with the folks.

I agree and disagree on now being the time to buy.  The best time to buy is when you are physically, emotionally and financially ready to own and take care of a house.  I waited til now and am glad i did.  I have known alot of people that rushed in because "now was the time to buy".  It shouldn't have to do with the market in all reality.
