As Terry said, good communication with your agent is key. You and your agent should both work to stay in touch and be comfortable communicating with each other.

Most condos will not allow signposts on their property. However signs in windows or on patio rails are usually permitted.
What did your Realtor say was the holdup?
You should have an open communication with your agent. I would call and find out directly from him/her. Sometimes depending on the number of listings they run out of specific sized signs. Could be a sign is on backorder for you to fit in your window.

Sam is correct. First there needs to be a check to make sure there are no buried utilities that might be punctured by a sign. Then the sign needs to be installed. Depending on the reliability of the sign company, it could take a few weeks.
You mentioned it was a condo. Some associations do not permit for sale signs on the property or may limit the number of signs in front of a property.

Sometimes real estate signs are ordered through a 3rd party company. The signpost company may have not delivered it yet.
