Foreclosure Deeds Up, Foreclosure Petitions Down in Massachusetts

Recent foreclosures activity in Massachusetts [link removed by moderator]  shows that foreclosure deeds, the final step in the foreclosure process, increased in July; however, foreclosure petitions, the first step in the foreclosure process, decreased in July 2010. 

Could this be a signal that foreclosures in Massachusetts are beginning to wind down? Or do you think foreclosure activity will continue over the next 12-18 months and there will be plenty of for bargain hunters?
