Found out after home purchase that roof warranty company is out of business. What should I do?

Is the roof ok? If so, get another warranty company.

If not, maybe you have a case against Seller and/or agent not disclosing material defects.

Seek legal counsel if necessary.

If the roof was a concern to you, your buyer agent should have recommended that you did the investigation within the HOme Inspection period.  Now is too late.

Is the company that installed the roof still in business? What problems do you have?

Thanks for posting your question on Zillow.com!

The roofer that did the work, the company that makes the shingles or a 3rd part that warranty either of the 2?  Either way, you really have no recourse as buyers have to do their due diligence when purchasing a home.

Best of luck.

Your homeowners insurance will cover most roof issues except aging issues (missing shingles from wind damage, hail damage...). What issues are you having.

My homeowner's insurance policy only covers sudden damages.  For example, flooding.

You could check with your homeowners insurance if you are having a problem with the roof.

Honestly, roofing companies come and go so quickly, it doesn't surprise me. What is the problem you are having?
