Fraud and scammers

I have been corresponding with a proposed "seller" that I believe is a scam artist.
Is there someone that could check into this?
Thanks,
Lisa

Ask for proof of ownership with deed. credentials etc.
Very easy to discriminate these days esp you use Title Company. They  have insurance covering these things.

I would look at the tax assessor website, maricopa superior court, and depending on your situation, maybe go to Intellius.com.

If they have requested a wire or the deal looks way too good to be true, it is most likely a scam.

Whatever you do, do not send a penny to this person unless you have verified absolutely everything.  Whenever possible deal in person with the person.  If they are out of the country doing some good work, get more suspicious.  Scammers keep trying because enough people keep falling for their scams.  Let us know what you find out.

Hi user60240977 -

You can report a fraudulent listing by going to the home details page of the listed property and clicking on the Report Listing button. Select the appropriate tag in the Problem drop-down list, for example, Spam or Listing seems to be fraudulent or illegal, then fill up the Details box and then hit the Submit button once you're finished. You can also click this link to learn more about scams and other Internet fraud.

You can also visit our Zillow Help Center/Zillow Agent Help Center for other helpful information.

Thank you.

Search your state's site for offenders and don't hand any money unless there are attorneys involved. All money's should be deposited into your attorney's escrow account.

If it smells like a scam, most likely it is a scam.  Have you had a chance to read Zillow's FAQ on scams and internet fraud?    You can report it directly from the ad details page by clicking on "report listing" just below the photos.

NEVEr send money for keys.  Never deal with a long distance landlord who doesn't have a local rep.

What is the address of the house? I look it up to see if the property is listed for sale on the MLS.
