Yes, it would be frustrating.  Plan on taking some time on digging out.    Spend some time with a lender who is willing to give you some guidance on what it takes for various scenarios.   Usually it is several years, unless you have a very high down payment and are willing to pay high lending fees and interest rates.

It is possible, but you have to wait a number of years.  The exact amount of time depends on the type of foreclosure you had and wether or not you had extenuating circumstances.  If you apply for a new FHA loan the wait could be as short as 2 years.  Contact a good lender and they can tell you exactly what you need to do.
