I have to amend my earlier response to this thread. After my posting I was immediately contacted by a Roundpoint employee specifically because of my post. She gave me her number and has been responsive. My loan was immediately back on track (at this time) and she even promised to keep my rate locked at no cost if we go past the lock expiration date. All of the sudden it feels like biz as usual.From reading the many post - it seems their main issue is lack of communication. Having to post a bad review to get that communication may not be the best way to run a company - but at this point my only real concern is the final outcome.
Roundpoint is the WORST mortgage company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. 3 weeks into it they went dark - NO MORE COMMUNICATION - period. No returned calls (at least 25) no returned e-mails (well over 25) nothing - NADDA - ZIP! Absolute bait and switch and take a hike type of customer support. Save yourself from wasting time and money - lots of both. I've got the money - the killer job, a great house but you'd think I had leprosy they way they just disappeared. Words can't express how lousy this company is. I've dealt with pizza delivery folks that had 100% more professionalism than Roundpoint.
I am currently in process of funding a loan with round point. First the appraiser didn't get back to them in time. 1st closing push back. Then they couldn't meet the title companies deadline for the paperwork submitting. 2nd closing push back. When we called concerning why the package had not been sent, we were send to a voicemail of a person out of town. After several calls the package was sent late to the title company (after hours). We were contacted to push back the closing. This would be the 3rd closing push back. This morning we told the paperwork was wrong, so now we are pushing back closing a 4th time. I regret going with them for my mortgage. I would not recommend them to anyone ever. Hopefully I will close today, because I can't keep changing my work schedule and pushing off deliveries.
