Trying to drive down home prices Rob? Maybe you should have copied smarty and named this thread "Desperate in Arizona"
Geez Louise, can we be any more dramatic? Azrob, you don't want everyone to meet in the desert and drink kool-aid or anything do you?
please say no...i hate the dry air, can I stay home and drink the kool-aid, or maybe I can wait for the mother ship

Hey, mpal, the dry air's not that bad as long as you enjoy getting major electric shocks every time you touch metal, water, the cat, another human being, lint. It's like shock therapy, which we all need as depressed sellers.
I don't need a lifeboat; I have those little floaty arm things and an inflatable giant duckie ring. And I've never seen the movie Titanic. I'm hoping to be the only human alive that hasn't at some point, and then I want a medal. Or a cookie.
ok, can't I just build a bomb shelter? it is the end of the world, right?
LOL ADB.
mpal, bomb shelters are so 1950s. We need to be much more dramatic in the 21st century.

I think my local Walmart is having a sale on sledge hammers and pick axes. There is nothing as satisfying as crashing through walls and pipes before sending the keys in the Jingle mail. Leave nothing but the bones for the agents and vultures.
OMG ADB, that is too funny...I haven't seen the Titanic either...we can share cookies!!
I
er
I wonder what sellers did in the 80's? are they still alive, living in homes that have appreciated? hmm, I wonder.

Zillow isn't letting me post. I have offended the Zillow gods with talk of giant inflatable ducks.

Get in the Lifeboat NOW!
The titanic has struck the iceberg. "I assure you, if you fill a steel ship with water it will sink", said the designer to the flabergasted occupants who had thought it unsinkable.
There will be a pickup in selling this spring, a pickup when compared to the low september to december numbers, but nowhere near a return to even last year's mediocre buying. There will also be a phenomenal uptick in inventory, and an increasing percentage will be bank owned properties, as foreclosures are still running at near record levels.
These are the last lifeboats leaving, lower your price, do whatever you have to if you need to sell, because this is absolutely the end, and the ship will be going down by summer. Countrywide and the banks in general are sitting on unheard of amounts of inventory, and despite talks of bailouts, foreclosures are still rolling in at rates that, when compared to sales, doom the market by early summer.
Your last chance, is to strike now, before the banks and remaining sellers all try to pile into the last few lifeboats, by discounting all of their inventory en masse. Unless you are prepared to hold your present property for a decade or longer, this is truly it.
The mainstream media will report the spring uptick in selling, and say "its getting better". Well, on Titanic, the band played on, even as the water filled the lower compartments.
Everyone who found a seat on a lifeboat, had an interesting story to tell the rest of their lives. The rest had a different fate. You want to be with those who can say, "I sold right before the crash of 2008", not amongst the rest.
