Given the current market conditions, would it be prudent to establish a real estate (agent) career?

Anyone know the real estate outlook for the Rutherford County, TN area?

The market is going strong. Rela estate is not easy by any means but if you are willing to put a lot of time and energy into your career it will pay off. I have had 6 closings between the end of August thru the middle of October but it came with a lot of hard work and long nights. Wishing you the best of luck.

This is a fantastic time to begin working in real estate sales.  Most of the older brokers have dropped out with the latest market turn down, and now finally the market is picking back up.  What a great opportunity.  Go for it!

I'm not in the Rutherford County, TN area, but I think it's a wonderful time if you're willing to learn a lot, and hustle like crazy.  It's true -- during the first few months, you may not earn anything so make sure you have a great savings account or have some other source of income that will sustain you until you start to earn.  Best of luck, it's a great business.

I can't speak to the conditions in Rutherford county, but I will say a couple of things regarding your potential career in real estate.
1.) The market is extremely difficult, but many newer agents are out performing 20-30 year veterans. How hard you are willing to work plays a significant role in your success.
2.) You will need to be able to go several months with no income. Before you choose this career path, make sure you have a healthy amount of savings. (Not only to pay bills, but also for fees and expenses associated with the career.)

Best of luck to you!

Yes, if you are so inclined. Whether in LA or TN, a real estate careet might be great for you. Talk to some local Realtors and ask their advice, and seek out local training near to you....

Most of my area's largest brokerages started in similar times as these...
