Greenway Square?

Profile picture for MouseGoddess
Has anybody heard that the area from 32nd St. to Cave Creek and from Bell rd. to Greenway is called Greenway Square and has a higher Hispanic population? How about the crime rate there? Any worse than any where else in Phoenix? I mean, isn't crime everywhere? I was told this by someone who lives around 40th st. and Cactus when I said I was thinking of buying a mobile home in that "square"!

One more thing, the property values in this area have held steady throughout this economic meltdown.. a rare thing indeed for Phoenix!

Ihave lived by 21st Place just off of Greenway Road for about 10 years now. Although some of the houses within the "sqaure" are run down and there are some run down apartment complexes,  it'smostly a poor neighborhood but, not a bad neighborhood. When you head west of Cave Creek on Greenway you're looking at 300-500K priced home on lovely Lookout Mountain. Were "thinking of selling our house for this amazing short sale offer I found in our area. Our place has a very modern remodeled kitchen, tile and wood floors and is about 6 blocks west of Cave Creek at the bottom of Lookout Mtn.However, if our offer doesn't get accepted, we're not gonna move...if you're interested in more info let me know and good luck:)

I'm a Realtor that lives off Greenway Road and N. 21st St.  We are not aware of crime over here.  The best advise I can give you is to do an internet search of crime by zip code:
http://www.azcentral.com/CrimeMaps/
I always tell my clients to drive the area at different times of the day/night to see what it is like before they purchase a home.
Good Luck!
