There should be no problem buying a company if you are not a US citizen. I just closed a deal with a Chinese company buying a factory in Germantown. http://www.biztimes.com/realestateweekly/2009/6/10/#deals-of-the-week
Check with your local bank and a mortgage broker. They should be able to help you. You have to have a proper credit score and work history along with the minimum down payment.
