Hi Edward:

Try these:

1. From the home details page, click the Edit then Release ownership claim.

 

2. Go back to your My Zillow and Favorite homes then click on "Remove favorite".

I tried your suggestion but there was not an option or dropdown option available to delete favorites that I could find.

If you are wanting to delete a home from your Favorites, just go to your My Zillow and Favorite homes then click on "Remove favorite". If this does not answer your question, please leave a follow up note here.
