That's funny..unfortunately, you're stuck. If the market has moved, ask your broker to submit you to another investor, if he has not already submitted your file...

Gloria,
Why do you want to "unlock" your rate?
Happy funding, Rudi

For erasing permanent markets on hard surfaces, the solvent in the permanent markets tend to work quite well; just remark and wipe immediately. (It doesn't work for cloth though).
The last time I checked, one of the "few" ways to unlock a loan was to abandon your loan officer to not take the loan, and to start all over again with a different loan officer. (Until you have signed the "closing papers", you don't have a loan.) But then you are still likely out some fees, and the additional delays of starting over may cause problems with established closing dates.
And if you do that too much, no one will want to assist you with much of anything.
The whole point of a "lock" is you decided the rate was "good for you" regardless if rates would be going up or down, so reneging on that "commitment" is not very polite.

I'm actually shocked that no one has answered:

You need a key. Usually has 6 digits.

Contact your loan officer with whom you locked a rate.
