HUD 1 form

Profile picture for QTPY
I am selling my home without a realtor and buying a new home that is contingent upon me selling home.  I was told to bring a Hud 1 completed form to my closing to show proof of sale. Can I fill this form out myself and what is my bank looking for?

The title company that either you or your buyer has sellected for the closing of your existing will prepare the HUD-1.  This will be executed by both you and the buyer at time of closing on your current property.  It will also be signed by the settlement agent.

If you are trying to close on the same day, make sure that you coordinate the closings (preferably with the same title company) to happen on the same day.

Thanks for the response, It is not possible for me to close on the same day.  But because it's contigent will I have to or will I have a few days leway since my bank will see the Hud 1 completed on the sell of my house eventhough I will not close until the next week on my home because I want to move out 1st then clean and prepare home for my buyer. Do most banks allow this? The sell of my home is with a totally different bank title company and etc.

If you are asking if you can close on the new home before closing on the old home I am pretty sure that is not going to happen. You need some help with this before you have a problem.
