I have a friend who lives in the Shannondale South subdivision and when doing yardwork this time of year and later in the summer we have found Roundup to be very effective on many of the weeds including the poison ivy we sometimes find. Hope this helps! Good luck. :)

I don't know about the little purple ones. When I am, there are these horrible little weeds that grow in a circular shape with a fine taproot system. They look a little like small lilly pads with a stalk and small bunch of white flowers on the top. Not so bad looking really. Until the dry out a little. Then if you touch them they spray seed about 6 feet out and up. I HATE them! If you have a lot of them, you might try one of the pelleted weed killers designed for broadleaf weeds. You can sprinkle it over the area and the water it in. a little to kill the root system. That has worked for me in areas with intractable weeds. Next year, I'm asking for one of these for X-mas here. I'm gonna burn those suckers once and for all without having to use any chemicals.
Has anyone found a weedkiller that works well on the little purple "flowers" that are popping up?
Has anyone found a weedkiller that will get rid of them? I tried Weed-be-gone yestetday and the guaranteed 24 hour results have yet to be seen.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks
