I think we have 6-9 months min. before we hit rock bottom. Don't
listen to the people who say otherwize...."They most likey work in the mortage or real estate business and need your money!! Don't be fooled because the 3-1 arms of 2005 have not hit the open market. Remember 3-1 arms change for an 05 purchase this year, plus add the 6-9 months before foreclouser and then the time till the Bank lists the home!
VEGAS IS FULL OF SCAMS!!! BEWARE OF GETTING SCAMMED YOURSELF!!!!
P.S. If you do buy a home make sure you are getting for atleast 15-20% below current market price. Just in case the price continues to drop(LIKE IM SAY), plus there are way to many homes on the market to be paying retail!!!
You will thanks me later,
Jim

I heard this morning on the radio that Vegas experienced the greatest depreciation of any market for the month of May at (28%). I graduated from high school in Las Vegas, and although I don't live there now, I can't help but still feel a connection. I hope that you pull out of the nose dive soon.

I read that almost 1 in 60 homes in that area of Nevada is in foreclosure now. That seems really high. I hope it will turn around soon, but with numbers like that it may take a little while.

Not with the influx of Las Vegas Foreclosures about to hit the market.

lol when i saw this i was certain azrob was just reviving a 14 month old thread to show us that the arguments havent changed one bit... instead i find the irony of the fact that the agents just picked up where they left off! "30% off yoy it must be close now..."

Ms. Ballen, you have been spamming all day. Please stop. When you see this "[content removed by moderator for being self-promotional]" it means that you are spamming or including info that is not allowed in that format on this site. There are other ways to market here, but if you keep doing it this way, you will get a bad reputation and insulted. You might want to check this out here that explains good ways to market with Zillow and here which also has good ideas on build your profile in a positive way. Hope the links help.

Sadly I think the asset managers at major banks are insiders with this answer.

This was asked in march of 2008.
We were nowhere near a bottom then.
Why should we believe we are at a bottom now?
We are hearing the bottom is in, now and 2-1/2 years ago.

Contributions:314Nice read on the Southern Nevada market....
"Southern Nevada's housing slump is on the verge of hitting rock bottom, if it hasn't already done so."
"...if you wait, you could miss out on the best deals."
