The median home price and sales of single family homes and condominiums in Haverhill, Massachusetts increased in the second quarter of 2010, according to multiple listing service data.

The median price of single-family homes in Haverhill, MA increased by 6.8 percent, or $17,000, compared to the second quarter of 2009. Sales of single-family homes also increased in Q2 2010, rising 20 percent compared to that same time period last year.

Condominiums in Haverhill, MA followed a similar pattern. The median price of condominiums rose 8.2 percent in Q2 of 2010 compared to Q2 of 2009, a difference of $12,500. Like single-family home sales, condominium sales increased, rising 34 percent compared to the second quarter of 2009.

Are these positive numbers only the result of the home buyer tax credit, or is the market in Haverhill, MA starting to turn around?
