Hazard Insurance - Closing got moved...what now?

When we signed up for the hazard insurance, our closing was dated June 30.  That did not happen, got pushed twice and now we're looking at closing by end of the month.  What happens to the hazard insurance that had incepted June 30?

If you advised your insurance agent/carrier that the closing has been moved to a later date there should be no issue. If you started paying for the insurance policy as of June 30th I'd suggest contacting the agent and letting them know that you have not closed. There's no reason to have a policy in place on something you do not own yet nor should you be paying for one.

Tis happens all the time, just contact your insurance agent. They will change it.
