In order to effectively answer your questions I would need to know what type of unit you are looking to buy and what area. Will you be paying cash or will you be financing? This will have a significant impact on your monthly expenses. As mentioned here association condo fees vary greatly. Typically larger buildings with lots of amenities are more expensive to maintain. If you are concerned about keeping monthly maintenance fees down stick to smaller, garden style condos w/ out too much frill.  Please feel free to contact me via phone should you want more in depth information. We specialize in educating buyers so that you make informed purchase decisions.

Every condo association is different.  The HOA fees can vary significantly and what is included also changes from complex to complex.  A local buyers agent can help you sort through the differences from complex to complex.

When you live in a condo, the costs you usually have to consider are the home owner's association fees which vary depending on the building you live in. It's a monthly payment that goes towards the buildings insurance, maintenance, security (if there are guards), electricity and the common areas like the hallways, reception etc.
Besides that, you have to pay property tax one time every year but both house and condo owners have to pay property tax. If you have any other questions, let me know.
