Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for a retirement home. My home buying philosophy is to buy the cheapest house in the nicest neighborhood. It's work well for me so far. I'd like to find the 500K house in the million dollar neighborhood.
Where I live now, a nice neighborhood is typically very expensive. The best schools are near by. All the homes in the neighborhood zoned consistently, meaning no million dollar homes next to junk yards. The neighborhood is quiet. The people are well educated. Does this help?
Thanks

What is your definition of "nice"? I'm not trying to be silly, but recognize that everyone has their own definition of "nice". For example, I need great dog walking trails, quiet and top of the line grocery stores.
Agents are allowed to discuss where schools are, proximity to coffee shops, trails and grocery stores, but they aren't allowed to discuss crime rates, ethnic make up and all the things mentioned in the fair house rules.
