Hi adamm,

The Grand View home sold last year, but the rising Glen property was only withdrawn from the market. This does't necessarily mean that the owners still don't want to sell, I can think of a couple options.

I'm working with several clients right now who are looking for exceptional Contemporary, Hi-tech homes in the Hollywood Hills and Westside for $3MIL to $15MIL. Though there are usually some... I ashamed to say that there are not as many really good examples of this style of architecture as you would think in L.A..

This is because many of the homes L.A.'s prime areas were built long ago when more traditional styles were in fashion. Plus since this is California, a lot of Mediterranian and Spanish styles have always been popular. You'll also occasionally find fine examples of classic Mid-Century Modern architecture, though these homes may lack some truly modern ammenites and in some cases you really don't want to damage the integrity of the home by overly up-dating it.There's also been a lot more development and re-development by the beaches so you'll find more in the way of recent styles there.

You'll also find more examples of contemporary homes at lower price points as well because it's easier to justify tearing down and rebuilding a two million dollar home, than it is to justify tearing down a five or ten million dollar one.

Please call or email me anytime if you would like to discuss the opportunities available for these types of homes in Los Angeles. I'd be glad to send you a short-list of the most interesting properties on the market right now. Best of Luck.
