Thanks Doug!
With the release of Zillow that went out last night, we updated our counter database so that we can display daily hits.
The transition has a couple of "quirks" to it. Yesterday's counts were temporarily placed in another database and the team is now working to add yesterday's counts added back into the one you see.
We won't be showing the daily counts themselves for a month or so, but we've started counting now. It will be even easier to track your hits then.

Appreciate your quick reply. When I saw my July hits go from about 385 to over 2,000, knew something was wrong.
BTW - really like the changes to the website. The specific city pages are great; I uploaded a photo today. Also like the new discussion tab and forums. Hope Team Zillow is prepared for the plethora of questions that will come!
Finally, I've asked before about adding a counter to our pages (I use Google Analytics). The answer I got back when I suggested this before is, well, "Zillow has a hit counter". Yeah, OK, but I'd like to see where my traffic is coming from, how long people visit my page, track number of hits per day, month, year, etc. As you know, the counter code is just a small JS applet, or some cases just some HTML code to insert in the page. Bottom line, I'm just looking for more than a simple hit counter, but I understand this is a free site. As I said, I'm impressed so far with what you've done here. Have a good day, and hope to talk to you again.
Regards, Doug

We appreciate your kind words and thank you for sharing your suggestion with us.
We have received similar requests for Zillow to provide a counter with more features. We have taken note of this and will consider this as we further develop our services.
Please also check on our blog where we announce new features on: www.zillowblog.com and on Zillow Labs: http://www.zillow.com/labs/Labs.htm for new gadgets.

Hit Counter
I like the new "discussions" tab and the look of my home page when I sign in. Keep up the good work.
